The publication of the I Modern Trilogy, based on a monographic edition, intends to recover a vision of modern Portuguese-Angolan architecture as a formal system still in force, while filling a gap in the national bibliography. The story is told in an unprecedented and original way, proving a specific methodology to present the modernity of: Vieira da Costa, Sim�es de Carvalho and Castro Rodrigues.It aims to contribute to the current architectural debate on the role of the monograph in architecture, combining the analytical method gives continuity to the process initiated with the doctorate, with the consistent purpose of converting theoretical models into proposals applicable in practice.
