Labour Thematic Line  works in the topics targeting the analysis of the labour market in different perspectives. Some research focuses on theoretical and methodological issues.

The goal is to re-examine traditional and new contributions from different disciplines to reflect on recent labour market outcomes. For this purpose, due attention is given to the institutionalist approach and to the need for regulations of economic and social activities. In such a context, the research agenda includes macro and meso levels regulation but also regulations arising from employers.

Most of the research is supported by empirical analysis based on qualitative and quantitative data. Furthermore, the members attempt to reinforce the comparative perspective taking advantage of international datasets available to researchers.
