Short Bio
Gonçalo Rodrigues Brás (GRB) has an academic path that crosses economics and business, combining theoretical grounding with applied research. He holds a PhD in Business Management from the University of Coimbra, master’s degrees in Management (University of Aveiro) and Economics (University of Coimbra), a Diploma of Advanced Studies in Applied Economics from the University of Extremadura, and a Bachelor Honours in Business Management from the Polytechnic University of Leiria.
GRB has been active in higher education and research since 2006, collaborating with institutions in Portugal and abroad. He was a visiting researcher at several universities across Europe between 2014 and 2015. Before entering academia, he worked in consulting, banking, and accounting.
Currently, GRB is an Assistant Professor at Santarém Polytechnic University and an associate researcher at IN+ (Instituto Superior Técnico), CESAM (University of Aveiro), and CeBER (University of Coimbra). He has co-authored over 30 scientific publications in areas such as entrepreneurship, innovation policy, responsible innovation, sustainable development, public policy, and strategic management.
